PBKreviews: Google Pixel Fold foldable smartphone proved difficult to repair

The enthusiast noted that in order to disassemble the device, it must first be heated – in order to soften the glue with which the body parts are held. The specialist noticed that in the process it was necessary to first remove the back panel, then detach the protective screen, and only then gain access to the internal parts.
In the course of work, it turned out that the Pixel Fold screen is attached with a lot of screws that had to be unscrewed. PBKreviews noted that it took a long time to replace the front panel of the gadget. At the same time, the author emphasized that it was quite simple to replace the battery of the folding device.
In conclusion, PBKreviews stated that during the process of reassembling the Pixel Fold, it is possible to miss some small details and thus damage the device. The blogger estimated the complexity of the repair at 6.5 points on a 10-point scale.
Google introduced its first foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold, in mid-May. The device, which received the main 7.6-inch display and an external 5.8-inch panel, the Google Tensor G2 processor, was estimated at $ 1,799, or about 165 thousand rubles.
