SamMobile: Samsung trademarks smart glasses and rings

Samsung has planned the development of new wearable devices. This is reported by SamMobile.

The journalists of the IT portal found in the database of the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) a mention of the registration of new Samsung trademarks. It turned out that the Korean company has issued trademarks for Samsung Circle, Samsung Index and Samsung Insight.

According to experts, the registration of signs indicates that the corporation is preparing to launch new wearable gadgets on the market – smart devices, AR or VR devices. All trademarks belong to the Nice Classification 9 classification, which includes wearable computers, smart rings, smart watches.

At the same time, journalists noted that information about new devices is too vague – it is impossible to determine either the type of devices or the timing of the sale. However, earlier the Korean corporation registered the trade names Galaxy Glasses and Galaxy Ring, which directly indicates the development of smart glasses and rings.

Earlier, insiders said that Chinese smartphone manufacturers have begun preparing devices with a record amount of RAM. According to sources, Realme, OnePlus and Oppo may launch devices with 24GB of RAM in the coming months.
