This Monday, the application that wants to compete with Twitter appeared in the Apple Store. These are Meta Threads and they will be linked to Instagram.

It is expected to launch on July 6 amid Elon Musk’s platform restrictions. Last Saturday, Twitter began limiting the number of messages each account could read. This was not taken well by users who had exceeded the limits.

According to the description in app Store, is a text-based conversation app for Instagram. “Threads is where communities come together to discuss everything from the topics you care about today to what’s trending tomorrow. Whatever interests you, you can follow and connect directly with your favorite creators and others who enjoy the same things, or build a loyal following to share your ideas, opinions and creativity with the world.”

In the images you can see that it can be linked to the Instagram account and keep the same user. According to The Verge portal, the fact that it will be available from July 6 does not mean that you will be able to register or validate your account on that date.

Meta is currently discussing inclusion in the platform with public figures ahead of launch, as it is expected to be available in the summer, according to various media reports.
