Gaining popularity in the last several months, generative algorithms are a certain revolution for the market. However, what seems revolutionary to us today will soon become so commonplace that we will soon stop paying attention to it, Dr. Ivona Tautkute-Rustecka, an artist and programmer who professionally deals with artificial intelligence, told Gazeta.pl.
In fact, due to the fact that artificial intelligence is becoming versatile and entering many different fields, it seems to me that in the future we will not think about the presence of AI at all
says the expert. And as she adds, in her opinion, we will be using “completely different, new concepts.”
AI will create a new job in the market
According to Dr. Tautkute-Rustecka, soon we will not be talking about artificial intelligence experts, but rather “we will have specialists in individual, much narrower fields.”
We already have a distinction between vision specialists and text specialists. I think this branch will expand a lot more, and at the same time we will not have people who deal with artificial intelligence in general. It will be as abstract for us as if someone today deals with knowledge about the world
says the expert.
It seems to me that it will be very interesting, it will create many new jobs and specializations
– says Dr. Tautkute-Rustecka.
AI is not only opportunities, but also threats
However, the expert emphasizes that “the risks associated with artificial intelligence are many, as with any new one”. The problem, however, is that we are trying to create tools using technology that we do not fully understand, says Dr. Taukute-Rustecka.
Without delving into what data is used, what threats are in the very data we use, we can do harm
– says the expert. As he emphasizes, he does not mean threats to the labor market or the extermination of humanity by conscious AI.
I’m more concerned with the problems of using AI for nefarious purposes, e.g. military as a weapon
– says Dr. Tautkute-Rustecka. And he points out that there are more such examples, because although access to knowledge in the field of AI is democratized – which in itself is a good factor – it also carries a lot of risks
