“Honey, I really love you and I promise to pay you back well. Honey, I still love you and I’m still here for you,” read one of the messages. The scammer also promised to visit her in Spain and even shoot a movie with her, for which he asked her for money.

About €170,000 ($186,000), she sent him via bank transfers over the course of their relationship. This money was supposedly intended to cover the costs of Brad Pitt visiting her.

Realizing that none of the promises of love came true, the woman went to court, on suspicion of fraud. His attorney, Antonio Estella Aroza, filed a complaint alleging identity theft and fraud.
