Market capitalization of $ 1 trillion Since then, the value of the American company on the stock market has tripled, and the iPhone manufacturer does not leave the top of the richest companies in the world.
Apple made $3 trillion. They weren’t that rich
Now Apple has done what until recently seemed impossible. As on Wednesday, the value of the company from Cupertino increased, brushing against the magic barrier of 3 trillion dollars. The company’s shares rose 0.6 percent during the day to close at $189.25 on the New York Stock Exchange. This resulted in a capitalization of USD 2.98 trillion, which is the best result in the company’s history. It was the second consecutive record-breaking close for Apple. If the company closes the day with a result above 3 trillion in the near future, it will become the first company in history to do so.
What’s more, experts interviewed by the agency don’t see any specific reason for the stock’s rise. “There hasn’t really been any new information that fundamentally supports such a stock move,” said Thomas Martin of Globalt Investments. Apple is probably growing on the basis of the general trend in the world of technology enterprises, which is just rebounding after a relatively weak 2022.
Reuters notes that Apple has already exceeded the value of $ 3 trillion for a moment, but it happened in the middle of the day (January 3, 2022) on Wall Street. The Californian company ended the session with a capitalization below this barrier (and below the current result). After that, stock prices began to fall, and in January 2023 they were below $2 trillion (for the first time in almost two years). Apple has therefore recorded a gigantic increase in valuation since the beginning of this year (by 46%), although it was much smaller than that which can boast of, among others, Apple. Nvidia (185 percent) or Tesla and Meta (approx. 100 percent each).
$4 trillion is only a matter of time
Experts from the investment company Wedbush – whom he refers to – predict that Apple will soon break the magic threshold of $ 3 trillion and soar much, much higher. Soon, the company’s valuation should amount to USD 3.5 trillion, and in the further scenario by 2025 it should exceed USD 4 trillion. The key to attracting investors, they say, is the ever-growing share of the services business in Apple’s profits. Revenues from it should amount to USD 100 billion in the next fiscal year, which is twice as much as in 2020.
