A nightmare. That represents a young man whose life as a model is affected by a terrible dental procedure he underwent.

Jack James is the name of the boy from England, who told of the trial he underwent as he strived to improve his smile.

He looked for alternatives to his problem in his country, but it was very expensive, so he looked for alternatives in dentistry in other countries and went to Istanbul, Turkey.

“I look like a shark in a horror movie,” Jack described himself according to The Mirror.

What has been done to the teeth

He told the British media that he had traveled abroad to get veneers.

He said last September he chose to “put on dentures to look better on camera” and so went to Istanbul, where he paid £3,000 ($3,800) for a set of veneers.

Jack James said after the procedure he looked good. He traveled to the United Kingdom, but within a few months everything changed and the nightmare began. First there was halitosis, then there was bleeding.

“They started bleeding and hurting. Pus began to come out and drip. My breath stank,” he told The Mirror.

Distraught, he went to the dentist in his country. “I looked for an emergency dentist and they took x-rays. The dentist said my teeth were messy and I had a strong infection,” he explained.

He needed £20,000 ($25,400) for emergency care, but he didn’t have that either, so he contacted the clinic in Turkey, which they were not responsible for.

“They said it wasn’t their fault. They said I would have to pay again to get it fixed,” he said.

They drag real teeth like a shark’s

The young man said he was eventually given a budget of £4,500 to repair them and flew to Istanbul again in June 2023 “to have the veneers removed and put back in”.

“They removed all my teeth and the abscess and put in temporary teeth. It took a few weeks for the infection to go away,” he said.

Jack James told with pain and amazement that “his real teeth were sharpened and he looked like a shark.”

When the second job in Turkey ended, the boy returned to England at the end of June last year.

After a few days, while brushing my teeth, a crown fell off. Once again fear seized him.

Achieving the smile design of his dreams has been a torment for this 21-year-old boy, who strives with his painful experience that those interested in dental work like him resort to professional hands.

Jack James is remorseful, frustrated and this is how he summed it up to The Mirror: “I’m so mad at myself. I want to pull out all my teeth. I wish I had a compound bond, but I can’t change the past.”
