Journalists refer to an internal Intel event, in which top managers of the company reported on their successes and talked about their plans. So, including the corporation announced its intention to keep Apple as one of the customers of processors for computers.

The fact that Intel wants to “make friends” with Apple again, said vice president Michelle Johnston Holthouse: “I will never stop trying to make Apple become our client again.” According to Holthouse, Tim Cook’s company switched to in-house processors due to the high performance of the chips. The top manager noted that in order to resume partnerships, Intel must develop processors powerful enough to satisfy the customer.

Journalists recalled that in October 2021, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said that the company did not lose hope of returning Apple as one of its main customers. At the moment, all computers of the American brand, except for the outdated Mac Pro, are based on Apple Silicon ARM processors.

At the end of July, it turned out that the presented MacBook Air was the first Apple computer in which there were no components from Intel. Tim Cook’s company announced the gradual abandonment of Intel chips in the summer of 2020.
