American users of Samsung smartphones said that the function of receiving SMS was broken on their smartphones. This is reported by the publication Android Police.

Media journalists drew attention to the complaints of Samsung smartphone owners published on the company’s forum and Reddit. Judging by the reviews, users of the Galaxy S22 and S21 series phones faced the problem. According to the authors, SMS messages stopped coming to their devices – in some cases, messages arrived with a long delay. It follows from the complaints that US smartphone users were left without SMS.

According to reports, a large number of complaints come from subscribers of the operator Verizon, less often – T-Mobile and AT&T. Phone owners have noticed that rebooting the device temporarily solves the problem. Consumers were also advised to activate airplane mode or remove and reinsert the SIM card.

Samsung has not yet responded to the issue. According to journalists, the problem can hardly be considered critical, but in the modern world, SMS is often used to obtain one-time passwords or pass two-factor authentication.

Earlier, the CEO of the Telecom Daily agency, Denis Kuskov, named ways to recognize wiretapping on a smartphone. According to the expert, this can be indicated by the rapid consumption of the phone’s battery, the arbitrary inclusion of a microphone or video camera, as well as self-starting programs in the background.
