The Americas is preparing for months of changes in the country’s leadership ahead of several general elections scheduled between 2023 and 2024.
Ecuador will be one of the countries that will hold elections in the coming weeks, which are early elections before the declaration of crucifixion issued last May. This led to the calling of elections for the following August 20, the first round.
If a candidate fails to reach the required vote threshold to reach the presidency, a runoff will be held on October 15.
However, Ecuador will not be the country with the closest electoral process, but rather Guatemala, which will hold its first round of elections on Sunday, June 25. As well as 160 Congressional delegates will be elected.
If there is a second round, it will take place on August 20.
