Appleinsider: Apple engineers have created a scratch-resistant case for smartphones
The specialists of the American company Apple invented a case for a smartphone that is resistant to physical impact and damage. This is reported by Appleinsider.
The authors of the media found on the net an Apple patent for a case for smartphones made of materials that are resistant to scratches and falling of the device. The case was created from “wear-resistant elements.” It also has an invisible pattern, the size between the body elements is from 10 to 100 microns.
The explanatory note to the patent says that a case made of metal can be used to protect the iPhone from scratches, but in this case there is a high probability of interference. In this regard, the inventors proposed the use of composite materials based on metals and ceramics. According to engineers, a smartphone with a protected case practically does not need covers and other accessories.
The author of the invention is Christopher D. Preset. According to journalists, earlier the same specialist patented the MagSafe charger based on glass-ceramic components, which allows you to wirelessly transmit not only electricity, but also data.
In March, Apple described the screen concept for a foldable smartphone that is drop-proof. The document says that the device’s display receives information from sensors and folds up when dropped.
