Russian companies began collecting pre-orders for the Apple Vision Pro headset and named the cost of the device. This is reported by Izvestia.
Media journalists noticed that relevant messages appeared on portals with ads and online shopping sites. The price of Apple augmented reality glasses is from 300 to 500 thousand rubles.
“At the moment we are collecting pre-orders for the device. In order to become one of the first owners of this device, a full prepayment is required, ”a representative of one of the online stores told reporters. Avito, on whose website the pre-order announcements of Vision Pro appeared, said that they would block ads for the sale of any goods that are not yet available for purchase.
Representatives of the IQMac store, on whose website the Vision Pro card also appeared, noted that they began to collect pre-orders for the device and will send it to customers as soon as they can bring it to Russia. Yevgeny Voloshin, director of Bi.Zone’s security analysis and anti-fraud department, interviewed by Izvestia, warned consumers against buying this type of product. “The chance that the store or the seller, having taken the money, will disappear from the radar is very high,” Voloshin concluded.
Apple unveiled the Vision Pro mixed reality headset on June 5th. Estimated at $3499, or about 290 thousand rubles, the device should appear on sale in early 2024.
