Parts of the body of 23-year-old Vladimir Popov were found in the shark that attacked and devoured him off the beach of an Egyptian resort. After the attack, the marine species was caught and washed up in a boat, where several people beat it to death.

The Russian boy was surrounded by the tiger shark before being dragged underwater in Hurghada as he screamed: “Daddy, save me!” Tourists scrambled out of the water as shocked onlookers shouted for Popov to swim away from the shark before it mauled him to death.

Now the shark is filled by specialists, who found the remains of the young man in his entrailssaid the news outlet Al Arabia.

Mahmoud Dar, a professor at the Egyptian National Institute of Marine Sciences, also revealed that the shark was female and nothing else was found.

Yury Popov, the boy’s father, said no relatives were near his son to help him into the water, although initial reports said the 23-year-old’s girlfriend had managed to flee the attack.

The man stated:This is an absolutely ridiculous coincidence as it is a safe beach. There are boats and yachts nearby. It has never happened there. They usually attack on wild beaches. It’s just some kind of godless fate”.

Before the horrific attack, father and son had been living in Egypt for several months. Popov said he would cremate his son and return his ashes to his native Russia Daily mail.

So far, the victim’s father is the only family member to speak about the event. After witnessing the attack, it took a long time to find and land the body. “Later, the remains were found and the body was put in a bag and taken to the morgue.”, he indicated.
