Colombia and the rest of the world are exceptional witnesses to the “miracle” that happened when the four children were rescued alive from the bowels of the Guaviare jungle, 40 days after they were rescued from a spectacular plane crash.
These children are brothers. The mother died on May 1, 2023, the day a plane crashed into the dense jungle. Two other adults died with her.
The children’s father and grandmother, Fatima, did not lose faith: they knew that the Colombian jungle would bring them back. Joy and thanks to God, the army and rescuers are flooding the networks.
The location of the four brothers claims the name of the major operation deployed in the neighboring country to find the children. The device was named Esperanza.
I ask you a favor, that I am your grandmother Fatima, you understand me. They must be quiet. They’re looking for you. Listen to the mic, stand still so they can take you.

Who are the “prodigies”?
Reports known in the press, such as NTN 24, on Friday, June 9, 2023, showed the little brothers dehydration and weakness.

These children — now dubbed “children of peace” by Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro — are Lesly Mucutuy, 13, and her brothers Soleiny Mucutuy, 9; Ten Noriel Ronoque Mucutuy, 4 years old, and the warrior Cristin Neruman Ranoque, a baby just one year old.
On May 1, the Cessna 206 light aircraft, registration HK 2803, crashed as it traveled the Caquetá route (it had left Aracuara) to San José del Guaviare.

The dangers of the jungle for the four children
Forty days, five weeks later, the jungle returns the children to their families.
Following the rescue, which brought joy to all who followed this case with expectation and prayers, it was learned that the babies were assessed, stabilized and taken to a medical center in Bogotá, Colombia’s capital.
The brothers showed insect bites, described NTN 24. During the time they were lost in the jungle, it rained for more than 15 days, so they endured intense cold, the media said.
In addition, the adverse weather conditions exposed them to the risk of contracting “malaria, dengue or leishmaniasis”. When walking in that complicated environment, they were in danger of falling into lagoons or cliffs.
NTN 24 reminded that margays and jaguars, among others, live in that jungle. Psychologically, they pointed out, the harsh experience could have caused “anxiety, stress and depression” during so many days of “disorientation and isolation.”

How did the little brothers survive in the jungle?
These children were left alone. They walked without the company of an adult… How did they survive. One of the answers revolves around knowing that they are native to the Uitoto ethnic group and they process more information about the jungle because they live in a different jungle, Univisión published.
The 13-year-old girl is said to have taken control of the situation. She took care of her siblings, especially the baby. In Semana, Univisión said, they pointed out that the minors knew what to eat and how to live. For days, the army and rescuers threw packages of food and water into the jungle.
The food parcels sent daily from the air also helped them to eat, survive and make the so-called “miracle” possible.

A great-uncle of the children, Fidencio Valencia, gave other important clues to understanding this ‘miracle’.
“When the plane crashed (they) took some flour and with that they survived. After the flour ran out, they started eating pepas (fruits) found in the jungle, he added, according to what EFE reported.
The children ate fariña and pepas, confirms the uncle of the four brothers who were rescued alive in the jungle of Guaviare after being lost for 40 days.

Valencia saw the 4 children on Saturday, June 10 at the Military Hospital of Bogotá. He noted that they were “finished,” but again, he trusts that they will recover quickly.

He took care of the children and returned to the jungle. Much mystery surrounds this case that reaffirms that hope is the last thing lost. Lesly, Soleiny, Tien and Cristin… welcome back to life. God bless you.
