Named the cost of a refrigerator with a built-in tablet from Samsung

The Verge: Samsung priced $5,000 smart fridge with tablet

Samsung has named the cost of the Bespoke Family Hub Plus smart refrigerator. This is reported by The Verge.

The consumer device was presented at CES earlier in the year – according to journalists, the device aroused interest due to the built-in 32-inch tablet. At the end of May, the Korean corporation began selling the refrigerator, valuing the model at $5,000, or about 400,000 rubles.

The Bespoke Family Hub Plus has a 32″ Full HD touchscreen built into the right door of the unit. The Verge journalists ironically noted that “the new 32-inch Samsung tablet now comes with a refrigerator,” and noted that they did not know consumers who could need such a kit.

The material notes that the touch screen of the second generation of Samsung refrigerators is noticeably larger than the display of the first generation – 32 inches versus 21.5 inches. The device can also act as a hub for smart home devices and supports the universal Matter protocol.

In conclusion, the authors of the media noted that they consider a refrigerator with a screen to be an overestimated device. According to journalists, a regular Samsung smart refrigerator, but without a screen, costs $1,000 less.

Samsung previously announced the creation of an OLED display for smartphones with biometric features. It is likely that the new OLED screen will appear in the flagship phones of the future.
