The durability of the new Google smartphone was tested on video

Blogger JerryRigEverything noted the high durability of the Pixel 7a smartphone

Blogger Zach Nelson, known by the nickname JerryRigEverything, tested the strength of the Pixel 7a. The video is available on his YouTube channel.

According to the enthusiast, he was worried about how the smartphone, made mainly of plastic, would stand the test. The author noted that the device has a fairly durable screen, on which almost no traces remain after contact with sharp objects. However, Nelson managed to easily damage the painted frame of the smartphone with a knife.

The back panel of the Pixel 7a proved to be durable, but left with deep scratches after being exposed to sharp tools. Also, the author tried to break the new device in half, but he did not succeed. According to Nelson, thanks to the metal guides, the device received a high-strength case for long-term use.

In conclusion, the blogger tried to burn the OLED screen of the device with a lighter. The author acted on the front panel for 25 seconds – a large black spot remained on the display, which disappeared after a few minutes.

In mid-May, Google announced its first foldable smartphone. The Pixel Fold was valued at $1,799, or about 144,000 rubles.
