It is a fact. For the past few days, hundreds of migrants eager to fulfill the “American dream” have been on the ropes after announcing rules to curb irregular transit.

This is considered the most ‘strict’ law, in that sense, passed in the United States.

The rules were announced last Wednesday, May 10, by Florida Governor Ron De Santis, an opponent of undocumented immigrants who has consistently questioned Biden’s efforts to contain the crisis, according to the Florida governor’s office.

Governor Ron De Santis signed into law this Wednesday Florida’s new immigration law, which is considered the strictest in the entire United States.

The law has created fear among some of Florida’s population asking questions such as whether they can go to a hospital (the undocumented) or what happens if they take in an undocumented immigrant in their home.

I am an employer, how will the new immigration law affect me?

The new law says that starting July 1, an employer with 25 or more employees must verify that its employees are undocumented. You must do this through the E-Verify app. Failure to do so could result in a fine of $1,000 per day.

If you knowingly employ an undocumented person, your license will be suspended.

On the other hand, an undocumented person who uses false documents to acquire a job would be charged with a crime.

I am an undocumented immigrant, can I be treated in a hospital?

You would be seen at the hospital, but the hospital is required to ask you for information about your immigration status.

In addition, the hospital would have to document how much money has been spent treating people without immigration status.

This prohibition, which was included at the start of the project, has not been included in the new law. Florida’s new immigration law goes into effect on July 1.
