It’s not a joke, though it seems. Due to the comments an attack unleashes on social networks, it will not take long to become the “worst heist” of 2023.

In Peru, three people are accused of robbing a sports shoe store in the town of Huancayo, Junín department.

They managed to steal “about 220 shoes of well-known brands” from the store.

What the thieves didn’t know, and what all of Peru and several countries now know, is that “they all turned out to be on the right track,” reported Diario Correo, quoted on the RT Actualidad website.

“They were on the wrong foot,” social network users say sarcastically when they learn of the attack. To enter the store, on the last Sunday of April this year 2023, they brought nippers and a tricycle.

After three attempts, they broke through security and appropriated the footwear. On the tricycle, the Peruvian newspaper continues, “they loaded three boxes where they found shoes, but only on the right foot.”

The stolen merchandise, worth more than $13,000, reported El Comercio, “cannot be traded because it belongs to the same foot.” Until the weekend, they thought the loot “might be hidden in a building in town.”

The attackers were captured by security cameras and the videos are in the possession of the authorities. In addition, they were said to have “left fingerprints”.

According to El Comercio, the store opened a few months ago in the second block of Prolongación Cajamarca, in Huancayo, and it was a woman who reported the aforementioned robbery.
