USA announced Tuesday a new $1.2 billion military assistance package for Ukraine intended to improve them air defense and provide you with extra ammunition for your artillery.
The ad emphasizes the continued commitment to USA with Ukraine “by encompassing short-term critical capabilities, such as air defense systems and munitions, while developing the capability of Ukrainian forces to defend their territory and deter prolonged Russian aggressionthe Pentagon said in a statement.
The aid will be provided in the form of resources from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, intended for acquiring equipment from the defense industry or allies rather than supplying equipment of US stocks. This prevents US reserves from being depleted, but it does mean that aid will take longer to reach the battlefield.

Ukraine’s air defense has played a key role in countering Rusi’s attacksa, preventing Moscow forces from gaining control of the skies and helping to protect the country from missiles and drones.
Secret U.S. documents from late February reportedly leaked online by a junior member of the Air National Guard describe impending shortages of ammunition for Ukraine’s Soviet systems that are an important part of medium- and high-range protection.
Kiev’s international allies have been working to bolster Ukraine’s defenses with a mix of advanced systems such as Patriot and NASAMS anti-missiles, as well as older stockpile equipment.
The new US package also includes ammunition for anti-drone systems to thwart the threat of Iranian-made drones that Russia has used in its attacks in Ukraine, as well as 155mm shells, key to the Ukrainian armed forces’ artillery.
It will also provide commercial satellite imaging services, as well as training support and equipment maintenance.
With these new funds, the US military aid package for Ukraine has totaled more than $36 billion since Russia began its invasion.
