AI gives us new opportunities to improve our lives. Two-day hackathon (marathon of ideas and design) Hack To The Rescue will take place online on June 14 and 15. Tech companies from Poland and beyond can register their teams on the website for free .
According to the organizers, the event will be attended by teams from dozens of technology companies from around the world, including from Think Evolve, Netguru and Commutatus. They will compete for financial prizes up to $10,000, which then they will be distributed to the winners. The task of the hackathon participants will be to find solutions to the most pressing problems that NGOs such as Asylex, AsseSOS or CRIES deal with. Hackers will explore, among other things, how to use large language models (LLM, in short, a type of machine learning that consists in processing natural languages ​​- ed.) to help asylum seekers, improve the operation of offices or health care, speed up response times in the event of a disaster and so on. The practical application of AI can help solve very real problems that affect millions of people, argue the organizers from Tech To The Rescue.
