Google has published images of the first foldable smartphone Pixel Fold
Google has unveiled its first foldable smartphone. Information about the device appeared on the company’s website.
Judging by the published images, the device has two halves connected by a hinge. On the inside is a flexible screen that allows the device to fold. On the outside of the Pixel Fold are the camera and secondary display.
“The first foldable phone developed by Google,” the company described the new device. The company promised to reveal the characteristics and cost of the device later.
According to blogger Jon Prosser’s report, Google’s first foldable flagship will feature 5.8-inch and 7.6-inch displays, the latter being foldable. The device will be based on the Tensor processor, it will also receive a Titan M2 chip, which will be responsible for security. The smartphone will come with a camera that will have lenses with a resolution of 48, 10.8 and 10.8 megapixels. The device will receive an “extreme” power saving mode with an autonomy of 72 hours.
Earlier, insiders found out that the Google Pixel Fold will be valued at least at 1.7 thousand dollars. The foldable gadget will compete in the market with Apple’s flagship smartphones.
