Being in the right place at the right time is important. That and also that this “angel” had knowledge and experience in first aid saved the life of a child in Mexico.

He knew how to think and intervene to help the minor with the Hemlich maneuver.

The child was with his mother and other relatives at a shopping mall in Jimenez, a city in Chihuahua, when he accidentally swallowed a coin and began to choke, El Heraldo reported.

The family group was at a movie theater candy sale when the emergency occurred.

The little boy, 4 years old, started coughing. He was short of breath and the adults who accompanied him tried in vain to help him.

Nerves of steel

The relatives gave him gentle blows on the back to see if he had ejected the coin. The seconds passed and the nerves began to reign.

A young candy store employee, seeing that the child couldn’t really breathe, left her post at the candy store and ran to his aid.

It took nerves of steel and this young woman showed them.

saving maneuver

The girl’s name is Laura Marina Holguín. He saved the boy’s life in Mexico: he picked him up and applied the Hemlich maneuver.

The newspaper El Heraldo says that the boy ejects the coin in less than 10 seconds.

Also called “abdominal compression,” according to the University Hospital of Córdoba, this maneuver is a first aid procedure to unclog the respiratory tract blocked by a piece of food or other small object. It is an effective technique to save lives in case of suffocation.

The boy hugged his mother, and whoever watches the video cannot help but applaud this heroine. Thank God for his courage and good heart.

This fact also leaves a message and the social networks are replicating it: we should all learn first aid.
