As he learned, a bill banning pathostreaming is being prepared by the Ministry of Justice and its content will be revealed next week. Deputy Minister of Justice, Michał Wójcik, in an interview with the website, pointed out that the ministry wants patostreaming to be regulated in the Penal Code. The presence of this phenomenon in the legal system will make it easier to hold people who engage in such activities to account.
Zbigniew Ziobro took care of pathostreamers. They can go to jail
As the deputy minister explains, it is currently problematic to accuse such people, because sometimes it is not known on what grounds they can be punished. In addition, MS wants to make it a crime not only to behave in films, but also to broadcast them on the Internet. It is because not always people committing punishable behaviors transmit them at the same time. The new rules will also penalize those who distribute such videos. It is also possible that people who financially support the authors of pathological films will also be prosecuted. The penalties – according to the announcement – are to be very severe.
What is pathostreaming?
Patostreaming is an activity consisting in the transmission of pathological, harmful and deviant behavior on the Internet. It’s about, among others for violence against other people, animal abuse or showing alcohol libations contrary to social norms. Often during the broadcast, the “creators” of such content collect donations from viewers to support their activities. As Witrualnemedia.pl write, the appearance of the draft amendment to the regulations is a direct reaction of the ministry to the video in which the father from Dąbrowa Górnicza presented live how he strangles his son.
