The Ural mobile operator “Motiv” demanded from Ericsson to continue service of stations
Ekaterinburg-2000, which provides cellular services under the Motiv brand, is suing Ericsson, a Swedish telecom equipment manufacturer, for refusing to provide technical support. It is reported by RBC.
At the end of April, the Moscow Arbitration Court will begin to consider the case, the first meeting on it should be held in early July.
As the plaintiff’s representative explained, the company used the equipment of a Swedish manufacturer when building its communication network and had a long-term technical support contract. However, now Ericsson, citing sanctions, unilaterally refused to fulfill the contract.
Immediately after the start of a special Russian military operation in Ukraine, Ericsson announced the suspension of supplies to the Russian Federation, and soon suspended business in the country for an indefinite period.
Earlier it became known that the Russian racer Nikita Mazepin filed a lawsuit with the Federal Court of Canada in order for the country’s authorities to lift the sanctions imposed against him.
