A friend died in a river

The alerts about the person concerned were triggered when a friend of the suspect died about two weeks ago in Ratchaburi province, west of Bangkok.

The victim collapsed on the banks of the Mae Klong River, where he had gone to release fish as part of a Buddhist ritual, local media reported at the time.

After questioning the suspect, investigators linked her to other cases of cyanide poisoning in Kanchanaburi and Nakhon Pathom provinces.

As of Thursday, authorities “also expanded the geographic area they are investigating to five provinces, the most west of Bangkok,” CBS News notes.

For the police investigating this shocking case of alleged serial murders, one thing is clear: “The autopsy has determined that the bodies contained cyanide.”

The victims swallowed the poison orally., emphasizes the French press agency. Two days after the news broke, EFE also says Sararat “Am” Rangsiwuthaporn may have up to 13 victims. The deceased were ‘friends’ and ‘acquaintances’.
