As siblings on the paternal side, Ana and Daniel Parra grew apart. In adolescence, before the boy, and when she matured, life brought them together. In that encounter, realized digitally, Cupido also put out his hand. Ana was 20 years old, Daniel, 17.

They met through social networks and confess that they felt something special, A24 publishes. Today, these siblings play the leading role in an atypical love story: from that attraction they moved in together as a couple and are now the parents of two children.

“It was hard for us to maintain a sibling relationship”

Ana and Daniel live in Spain and of course their case has gone viral. Rather, both received timid signals about the existence of the other.

The two, Teledoce reports, knew that their father had another family and that they were always curious.

She took the first step to find out who her brother was. He emphasizes that his father left home and founded a new house.

“I added Daniel from another anonymous Facebook profile that wasn’t mine so he wouldn’t see a last name or anything. I just wanted to browse and answer the question. I was afraid that telling him the whole story would destroy his whole world. Still, I couldn’t resist telling him who I was,’ he says.

When they spoke this way, “they discovered that they both lived in Santa Eulalia de Ronsana, a small town in northeastern Spain, but they had never seen each other,” says Teledoce.

“We had a relationship of friends who stayed to see each other and tell each other things (…)”, he explains.

We tried to keep a sibling relationship but it cost us

Ana, quoted in 20 Minutes, confirms that she was “looking for a brother”.

However, the attraction prevailed. “It was something everyone saw, everyone told us there was something different, that this feeling. We didn’t want to accept it or I could tell you, but there came a time when we couldn’t help it. Obviously we started getting to know each other with the intention of being brothers.

One night, at a party, there was no turning back: “We slowly approached each other and gave each other our first kiss,” Ana recalls.

In a TV show in 2017, they revealed to the world what they felt.

They want to get married

They’ve been together for nine years now and they know how much criticism they’ve received. The words to them have become even harder since they said they wanted to get married.

They think about the wedding and Daniel, faced with rejection, says: “We had never heard of each other. We are two young guys who met at the time. It’s true, we’re brothers, but we never had the bond. We didn’t grow up together, we didn’t vacation together, we didn’t share a family, nothing. He is a person I met one day and over time this came up.

His words were heard on the Ana Rosa program, the aforementioned Spanish medium reported on Thursday, April 27, 2023.

The reasons for legalizing the union were exposed in that space: “Like any couple, it is not because of the bodorrio. We are a couple, we have children, and to legalize it… legalize some papers,” says Daniel.

No paper is needed to say we’re a couple, but it does make the procedures a bit easier. Looking to the future, you have insurance that if you are not recognized as a couple, you don’t have. We can’t even be a domestic partner

According to Teledoce, Spain’s civil code prohibits marriages between close relatives, despite the fact that incest has not been considered a crime since 1978.

Ana and Daniel live their story and show up on networks, where they are encouraged, criticized and interviewed. Poetry is given to her, who describes herself as a romantic:

“You always scold me because I can’t find the word to describe you. Friend, you say it falls short. Suppose that’s very serious and we don’t do anything else, but having fun is very good for us. Husband, who’s the one you like best, I refuse because they won’t let us get married and I’m rebellious and hateful And though I’ve got you tattooed on my skin in different ways, I believe that what you are is home”
