SamMobile: Samsung smartphones will have Exynos processors instead of third-party ones from Qualcomm

Samsung will bring Exynos processors back into its flagship smartphones. This is reported by SamMobile.

The authors of the media referred to the internal correspondence of the corporation’s top managers with the vice president of the DS division at Samsung LS, Heckman Kwon. The latter noted that Galaxy smartphones should again be equipped with Exynos chips, which were manufactured by Samsung.

According to journalists, it is not known exactly when Exynos processors will appear in the devices of the Korean brand, replacing third-party chips from Qualcomm. The specialists recalled that Samsung usually tests new components in Galaxy S series smartphones, which it announces at the beginning of the year. Therefore, we can assume that Galaxy S24 devices will be equipped with Exynos processors.

According to the latest leak from the company, Samsung can only equip the Galaxy S24 base phone with its new Exynos 2400 chip, while the more advanced Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra devices will receive a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Samsung used proprietary chips in smartphones until 2023 – released in February Galaxy S23 devices are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Earlier, insiders found out that Samsung will turn to battery technology for electric vehicles in the production of its new flagship. The new method will provide batteries with higher density.
