“While I feel obliged to accept the outcome of the investigation, I reject all complaints against me except two. I also believe his two negative findings are flawed and set a dangerous precedent for good governance,” the official added.

Commenting on the result of the investigation, Raab said: “First of all, ministers must be able to exercise direct supervision over senior officials on critical negotiations on behalf of the British people, otherwise the democratic and constitutional principle will be lost of ministerial responsibility.
“On the second place ministers must be able to provide immediate critical feedback on briefings and presentations to senior officialsto set the standards and drive the reforms that the public expects of us. Of course, this must be done within reasonable limits.he added.
“Mr Tolley concluded that in four and a half years he had not once cursed or yelled at anyone, let alone thrown or otherwise physically intimidated anyone, or deliberately attempted to knock anyone down. I sincerely regret any unintentional stress or insult officials may have felt as a result of the pace, standards and challenge I presented to the Justice Department,” Raab defended himself in his letter.
Dominic Raab is the third minister to resign from his position in the Sunak government.
