DSCC: iPhone 14 is the best-selling smartphone with an OLED screen
Analysts at Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) have listed the most popular smartphones with OLED display for the first quarter of the year. This is reported in a report on the company’s website.
According to experts, four of the five best-selling OLED flagship phones are iPhones. In January-February, the iPhone 14 Pro Max became the most popular device on the market, and the second position was taken by the iPhone 14 Pro. In March, the situation changed: the base iPhone 14 broke into first place, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 13 were in second and third place, respectively.
The top best-selling OLED phones for March 2023 also included the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Experts expect the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 Pro Max to top the list by May.
DSCC analysts said shipments of OLED panels for smartphones rose 18 percent year-on-year in the first quarter. This is attributed to the fact that several companies have launched devices based on new and inexpensive OLED screens.
Earlier, representatives of M.Video-Eldorado said that Xiaomi was the most popular smartphone brand in Russia in the first quarter of 2023. The second line this time was Realme, and the third – Samsung.
