Roskachestvo expert Kuzmenko: iPhone 4, 4s and 5 will deprive the AppStore and other Apple services
Sergey Kuzmenko, head of information security at the Center for Digital Expertise of Roskachestvo, said that the owner of outdated iPhone smartphones on iOS 11 should prepare for the disappearance of important functions. He spoke about this in an interview with the Prime agency.
Kuzmenko warned that the iPhone 4, 4s, 5 and all previously released models on iOS 11 will be stripped of Apple-related features. In particular, the AppStore, cloud services, connection with maps and other options will be lost. The company has not announced the official timing of these changes, but according to the source, the shutdown of services will begin in May.

“Reflashing outdated smartphones will not work, since the operating system is strictly tied to the model and hardware, and there is no way to put the new version on the old hardware,” the Roskachestvo expert explained.
Earlier it was reported that Apple services will stop working on some iPhones. MacRumors said the changes will take effect May 1. It was noted that the services will be disabled on iOS 11-11.2.6, macOS 10.13-10.13.3, watchOS 4-4.2.3 and tvOS 11-11.2.6.
