Customers report serious difficulties in accessing the services of two large banks in Poland. Both PKO BP and Bank Pekao have been struggling with problems since morning.
Failures of Bank PKO BP and Bank Pekao. Services are not working
In the case of both banks, the problems began almost simultaneously – just before 8:00 on Monday. The number of reports from users who encountered problems with services on the Downdetector website was growing exponentially and reached its peak at approx. 8:30. At this point (9:15) there are fewer reports, but we are still talking about hundreds of reports for each bank.
Although the banks’ websites work, customers reported problems when trying to log in to mobile applications and transaction websites. At the moment, browser versions of transactional websites still do not open. As reported in social media, customers who were using banking at the time of the failure, transaction services suddenly “kicked out” customers at the time of the operation or did not want to authorize transfers.
Both banks did not respond to reports of the outage on their social media. We also don’t know what causes them.
