Introduced gaming smartphone with protection against overheating

Asus has unveiled a line of flagship smartphones for video games, which includes the ROG Phone 7 and ROG 7 Ultimate. This is reported by the publication GSM Arena.

Representatives of the company said that the devices have a new protection against overheating. You can connect the AeroActive Cooler 7 cooler to smartphones, which will cool the internal components of the gadget. According to Asus, under extreme loads and displaying information on the screen at a frequency of 60 frames per second, the front panel of the smartphone should not heat up above 36.5 degrees. The cooler comes bundled with the top model ROG 7 Ultimate.

The announced flagships for gamers have almost identical specifications, however, the base ROG Phone 7 has an RGB backlight, while the ROG 7 Ultimate has an additional two-inch OLED display. The devices received a main 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2448×1080 pixels and a frequency of 120 hertz, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, up to 16 gigabytes of RAM and 512 gigabytes of internal memory.

On the back of the devices is a camera with lenses with a resolution of 50, 13 and 8 megapixels. Smartphones received a headphone jack, stereo speakers, two USB-C ports for connecting accessories, NFC, and a fingerprint sensor built into the screen. ROG Phone 7 and ROG 7 Ultimate have a 6000mAh battery with 60W fast wired charging.

The cost of ROG Phone 7 was 999 euros, or about 90 thousand rubles, ROG 7 Ultimate was estimated at 1399 euros, or about 125 thousand rubles.

In early April, Xiaomi announced in Russia new smartphones of its subsidiary brand Redmi. Redmi Note 12 was priced at 16,990 rubles, Redmi Note 12 Pro – at 32,990 rubles.
