Literally: a woman turns into a “lioness” to save the life of her little girl who is only four years old.

The girl was the target of a savage attack by a bulldog and her mother mustered up the courage to stop the animal from killing her. The bulldog pounced on the little girl and smacked her left cheek with his teeth.

The horrific scene didn’t paralyze the woman, who told “how she had to punch and kick the American bulldog to get him away from her daughter after he punched her face in a bloody fit,” The Mirror reported.

Small and ferocious dogs: why they behave the way they do and what to do for everyone’s safety

How this bulldog attack happened

The events took place last Maundy Thursday in Nuneaton, a town in the county of Warwickshire, in the United Kingdom.

Amy Hobson, 32, was visiting friends with her daughter Luna-Ann Forsyth when the accident happened.

Luna-Ann’s mother said she and her friends went shopping and returned home around 3 p.m. (3 p.m.) on April 6, 2023.

The dog was locked in an upstairs room but managed to open the door and jumped down, he said.

The dog came to me so I gave him a ruckus like I always had. My daughter Luna called out the dog’s name as she always has.

In an instant, the unforeseen happened: the bulldog grabbed her face and threw her to the ground.

In natural desperation, Amy kicked and punched the dog to get it off her.

He called 999 and when he couldn’t find an ambulance, he contacted a taxi service. She was initially taken to George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton from where she was referred to Coventry University Hospital.

The girl was rushed to the operating room. They operated on her for over two hours and the doctors said she would have permanent scars.

Luna-Ann needed plastic surgery and 40 stitches in her face.

“We’re Not Friends Anymore”

This tragedy ended Amy’s friendship with the bulldog’s owners.

“We are no longer friends because after the attack they hid the dog from the police for more than 24 hours,” he said.

The doctors said the wounds take about 12 months to heal.

Amy exposed the painful case to raise awareness. Celebrate Luna-Ann’s bravery. The baby was discharged on Holy Saturday. Despite everything, he “smiles”.
