Mobile phone creator Martin Cooper says he buys a new iPhone every year
Engineer Martin Cooper, who made the first ever call on a mobile phone, characterized modern smartphones. This is reported by France24.
In an interview with the media, 94-year-old Cooper admitted that he is passionate about smartphones and new technologies. The engineer said that he has an iPhone and an Apple Watch, and admitted that he annually acquires a new Apple smartphone – his favorite device. According to the expert, the smartphone industry is constantly evolving.
Martin Cooper said that in the future, devices will open up new opportunities for humanity – for example, they will allow to prevent and treat diseases. According to the engineer, who is called the creator of the mobile phone, the hallmark of the new smartphones is their light weight: “The first phone was so heavy that you could not hold it for more than 25 minutes.”
At the same time, Cooper believes that people are too passionate about gadgets and should use them more responsibly. “When I see someone crossing the street and looking at their phone, I feel terrible,” admitted the specialist.
