The popular instant messaging application WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow users to block access to certain conversations and group chatswhich are stored in a special section in the Chats tab of the application.

One of the latest features in which it has been enhanced is that of restricted or encrypted access messages, which require an authentication system _such as a password or the fingerprint registered in the device_ to gain access.
WhatsApp has now developed a section, integrated into the Chats tab, called locked chats (Blocked Chats) which is aimed at collecting conversations and chats that have been blocked within the application.
The latest version of the 2.23.8.5 application, released through the Google Play beta program, also introduces the ability to block a particular chat in the information section of any contact or group chat, reports PS.
Once blocked, users can access all these encrypted chats from the same section, and only those who know the password or registered a fingerprint on the device can access them.
This portal also reminded that, in order to improve privacy, in case of unauthorized access attempts, The user is prompted to clear the content of the conversation to access it.
