Media journalists referred to authoritative insider Jeff Grubb, known for several accurate predictions regarding the PlayStation. By words specialist, he saw that there were rumors on the net that the company would allegedly release a new generation of the PS Vita console. The author noted that this is not the case.

Grubb said that the corporation is working on a conventional portable console that will support streaming of games hosted in the cloud. From the disclosed data it follows that the new generation of PS Vita is not expected. The PlayStation Vita is a portable console from Sony that was released in early 2011.

According to Tech4Gamers journalists, Sony has experience in working with the streaming service – the company launched the PS Now platform back in 2014. Cloud streaming is supported by the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

Earlier, authoritative insider Tom Henderson said that Sony will release the PlayStation 5 Pro console at the end of 2024. Until the end of 2023, an improved PS5 will go on sale, which will receive a removable drive.
