Cyber expert Stepanov: anti-identifier will help hide your phone number when making calls
Valery Stepanov, head of the information security center of competence at T1 Group, named a method that allows you to hide a phone number during outgoing calls. He told the Prime agency about it.
The cyberexpert explained that some people seek to remain anonymous because they do not want to get into the spam database. According to him, you can hide a phone number by using a special service from a mobile operator – anti-identifier of numbers (AntiAON).
However, this method is not always effective, Stepanov specified. “These solutions do not give a 100% guarantee of hiding your number and allow you to make it invisible only at the moment for a specific call,” he said.
The specialist added that it would not be possible to completely hide the phone number, since the caller’s data would be transmitted to the base telephone exchange. He advised to purchase an additional SIM card for security purposes.
Earlier, Stepanov told how you can “secretly” read messages in Telegram. He pointed out that the easiest way to do this is by reading push notifications on an unlocked device (e.g. phone, smart watch) without opening the chat in the app.
