Artificial intelligence has been an extremely hot topic in recent months, mainly due to the impressive capabilities of ChatuGPT. It is therefore not surprising that more and more companies are trying to introduce new functions based on AI (artificial intelligence). The one Google is preparing seems particularly useful.
Google wants AI to help us write emails
The American Internet giant has announced in recent days that it will introduce an additional simplification in Google Workspace based on the possibilities of artificial intelligence. For starters, the novelty is to appear in Gmail and Docs.
The editors, however, managed to find and activate a code in the Gmail app for Android that allows you to use the help of AI. Thanks to this, we already know how the new function is supposed to work.
As the portal describes, the AI is to be hidden under a button that will appear in the Gmail editor. We will be able to ask the artificial intelligence to write any message from beginning to end, e.g. birthday wishes for a friend. At the moment, however, the bot’s capabilities end there.
It is known, however, that Google is working on extending the function to correct already written e-mails. AI is not only supposed to correct errors, but also to edit the text in several different ways, and even develop its shortened or more sublime version. In a similar way, artificial intelligence is supposed to help users of Google Docs.
Unfortunately, the new features will not be available to everyone, only Google Workspace users. It is also not known when exactly they will appear. However, the company plans to start testing (among a closed group of testers) later this year.
