Apple will raise prices for new premium iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max smartphones
Apple’s new premium smartphones will be more expensive than current ones. This is reported by MacRumors.
According to Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong International Securities, the American corporation will have to compensate for the increased cost of new devices. The insider noted that the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will be higher than the prices of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models, due to the use of new technologies in their creation.
The analyst believes that the top gadgets of the series will receive a new titanium frame, solid-state buttons with tactile feedback with Taptic Engine modules, and an improved lens. Also, Apple will be forced to raise prices for flagships due to the use of the new A17 Bionic processor and an increase in RAM.
Jeff Pu did not disclose the cost of future gadgets. Prices for the base models, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, are expected to remain the same.
Apple has held down prices on premium iPhone models for several years. So, in the US, the iPhone 14 Pro is available for $ 999 – the same price as the iPhone X released in 2017. The cost of the iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at $ 1099 – the price of the iPhone Xs Max introduced in 2018.
In January, Forbes sources reported that Apple intends to raise prices for premium smartphones. The report noted that the increase in price will affect only premium models.
