While attacking drug traffickers, they unexpectedly came across two dead men and two others in very bad health.
The deceased and the other pair of drunk subjects were located by the National Army of Colombia in a semi-submersible in which these four people mobilized 2,643 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The two deaths were believed to have been caused by inhaling toxic gases from the fuel of the same semi-submersible
Military authorities said the cargo contained cocaine hydrochloride more than 6 million doses destined for Central America.
On social networks, the navy of the neighboring country has published photos and videos of the cargo found in the ship used for drug trafficking.
The semi-submersible, of the low-profile type as described, was found in the waters of the Colombian Pacific Ocean.
A Coast Guard unit located the illegal vessel and officials found the two men in critical condition atop, to whom they administered first aid.
‘Operation against drug trafficking had international support’
During an inspection in the semi-submersible, they found the two bodies, the frigate captain Cristian Guzmán Echeverry reported via video on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
He explained that the medicine vessel had “large openings filled with water and it was possible to find the two lifeless bodies, which were recovered, as well as the cache,” Blu Radio reported.
The navy then took the two drunk individuals who needed medical attention to the port of Tumaco, in Nariño. The bodies and the load of drugs were transferred to the same place.
According to Guzmán, the development of this anti-drug operation had international support and prevented “more than $87 million from entering drug trafficking organization structures”.

Boat with migrants in the Colombian Pacific
News of this blow to the drug trade came eight days after the Navy discovered a boat carrying 21 illegal migrants from China and Indonesia in Colombian Pacific waters.
The crew members of the boat “Bravo Dos” were Colombian citizens. Together with the migrants, the media said, they remained in the hands of the authorities.
