According to the publication, this is due to the fact that the contracts between Apple and its Russian authorized service centers (ASC) expire at the end of March, and the company does not intend to renew them.
“From April, having received a device for warranty repair, the service center will contact Apple’s new foreign partner and send the device to him. As a result of this combination, the repair time will increase greatly and can be up to two months, ”said the source of Izvestia.
It is noted that such a scheme is necessary for the company in order to comply with US sanctions that prohibit the import of smartphones worth more than $300 into Russia.
Earlier it was reported that Apple stopped servicing tablets and computers in Russia. Service center employees should suggest that customers who encounter problems contact the store where the equipment was purchased and demand a refund.
