Walking to Bosque de Chapultepec ended in capsizing

A family trip in 1995 ended in fear, and Lorena Ramírez had been asking about her daughter since the night of October 1 of that year: “Where are you going to be? What will become of you?”

Juana disappeared when she was only 3 years old.

Lorena had gone with her husband and their three children. He came home with two. In an instant, he didn’t know who was taking Juana from him.

Lorena ran to warn the security men: Close the doors, they just stole my daughter

There was nothing that could be done, the minor did not appear.

The mother sued the case before a unit of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the old capital, Aristegui Noticias reported.

“That’s me”: that stolen girl turned history

Lorena hung up for years and delivered photos depicting her daughter. Until an association made a drawing of a changed adult Juana, Telemundo reported.

In another part of Mexico, a young woman named Rocío felt she was away from her real family. He never commented on it until one day those who had it told him.

Juana married at the age of 17 and has two children. She points out that her husband pushed her to search for her real parents.

As fate would have it, Rocío, 29, saw Juana Bernal’s photo and saw herself photographed and also noticed the resemblance to one of her children and said, That’s me.

Rocío contacted the association and she contacted Lorena. The surprising turn was known to the Public Prosecution Service and the two underwent the genetic test that came to confirm the relationship.

“With all seriousness, with all the professionalism the matter deserves, and before the first rapprochement between mother and daughter, individually, to each of them, we explained what the sampling procedure would be, and they were informed of the result of the tests to prepare them for the moment”.

The result was positive with a genetic match of 99.99 percent, the Public Prosecution Service ruled

News of the reunion broke in 2022 and the long-awaited hug took place in October.

Lorena regrets that her husband is not there. He died three years ago.
