They were colleagues and because she rejected him sentimentally, he killed her. That was the macabre reason why a man in Argentina justified the attack on a 25-year-old girl outside her home.

The crime took place Monday evening in the town of Concordia, in the province of Entre Ríos (Argentina), according to reports Argentine press.

The man, identified as Carlos Passarella, 34, was waiting outside her home for Valeria Leoncino, leaning on her car. The woman, who was with three friends, at his insistence decided to go down to take care of him.

Pasarrella stood in front of her, pointed the gun at her head and shot her three times, two of the shots hitting her chest. Before he killed her, he had told her, “You’re either with me or you’re with no one.”

The man got into his vehicle afterwards and fled, but was later found blocks away with a gunshot to the head.

Initial investigations have determined that Passarella was obsessed with her and that the crime would be premeditated, as the 9-millimeter weapon was found in the car with a 12-round magazine and six were engaged. There were also other cartridges and pepper spray, as well as ropes and a letter.

“The letter said that he was tired of the nonsense, that he could not give more and that any complaints or thanks should be sent to his grave because he would kill himself,” says Claudia García, a local radio journalist.
