Bloomberg: Apple to release iMac computer with M3 chip in the second half of the year

Apple has completed the development of a new generation of processor. It is reported by Bloomberg.

As the agency’s columnist Mark Gurman found out, the American company has finished production of the new M3 chip and will be preparing to release the first device based on it. From the disclosed information Gurman follows, it will be the iMac desktop computer. The journalist noted that Apple for the first time in two years will update the line of desktop computers. The device may be announced in the second half of the year.

The material says that the M3 processor will be created using a three-nanometer process technology. The transition to the new process technology is expected to increase productivity by 15 percent and reduce energy consumption by 30 percent. Chips are manufactured by Taiwanese company TSMC.

Mark Gurman stated that the new iMac is at an “advanced stage of development” and that Apple is currently “conducting production testing of the machine.” The M3 processor should be presented at the WWDC summer conference. The iMac, which will appear in blue, silver, pink and orange, will be available to order in the second half of the year.

Earlier, representatives of the Russian authorized service center (ASC) Fixed.one reported that Apple refused to repair iPads and Mac computers. The SC noted that their employees will have to offer customers who have encountered problems to contact the store where the equipment was purchased and demand a refund.
