Mexican authorities announced the rescue of 343 foreign migrants in a container trailer on Sunday night.
The box was left on the Cosamaloapan-La Tinaja highway, in Veracruz. The Ministry of the Interior’s National Institute for Migration said it had found citizens from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Ecuador.

In total, 103 minors traveled alone and the majority came from Guatemala, while 28 persons were different families from Guatemala and El Salvador.
The container had a double bottom of metal structures and fans anchored to the bottom, as well as vents in the ceiling. Authorities revealed that the migrants wore colored bracelets as a means of identification.

Last Thursday, the INM reported the detention in the state of Puebla (center) of another 136 migrants of different nationalities who were transported in a truck without ventilation. Of the group, 10 minors traveled unaccompanied.
