The fourth generation of the Suzuki Swift, formerly known as Forsa in Ecuador, reaches the national market, featuring hybrid technology for the first time. The new model is imported by SZK of Ecuador, official representative and distributor of the Japanese brand in the country.

The company, already present in the country through General Motors, entered a new phase of operating independently since August 2021 with SZK del Ecuador, a company that acquired the representation and distribution of the vehicle division for the national market.

With the arrival of the Suzuki Swift, the company starts 2023 by expanding its model portfolio and debuting in the passenger segment with the introduction of the hatchbackwho describes the brand as intelligent, sporty and urban.

“With a fuel efficiency of over 90 km/gallon, it features a 1.2L engine with SHVS (smart hybrid vehicle van suzuki) and Dualjet injection, which is characterized by maximum performance with greater fuel savings. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with 100% Japanese technology,” said the Japanese company.

Among the features are front and rear LED projection headlights, darkened pillars with a floating roof, sports instrument panel with a 4.2″ screen, smart key with start button and headlight adjustment, automatic climate control and wireless charger (gift of the brand in the first units), active safety systems (HSA, Hill Start Assistant; ABS brakes, EBD, electronic brake distribution; BA, emergency brake assist) and passive (6 airbags, Heartect technology and system of ISOFIX anchorages), to name a few.
