The government of Taiwan will reimburse with 3.5 million new Taiwan dollars ($114,100) to the family of one girl who died days after receiving the second dose of the vaccine against covid-19.
This is not the first time something like this has happened in Taiwan. There are ten cases in a list published by the Taiwan Ministry of Health describing beneficiaries of compensation for having side effects after being vaccinated against a disease.
The largest of the compensations is the one that the family of the girl who died after being vaccinated against covid receives. The minor was between 5 and 11 years old and fell into a coma three days after receiving the second dose of the vaccine Pfizer.
The girl suffered from onefulminant myocarditis”, said the spokesperson for the island’s Epidemic Center, Lo Yi-chun, who specified that this pathology is usually caused by a viral infectionso it’s unlikely it was due to the vaccine he had received as it was an mRNA type (known as messenger RNA).
However, not the the possibility of vaccination cannot be excluded, because of the short time that elapsed between the inoculation and the death of the little one.
