France will test a new age verification system that respects double anonymity to restrict access to pornographic sites, one of the challenges currently facing the digital society in relation to minors.

At the end of March, a number of digital companies in France will participate in testing an age verification solution that respects the principle of double anonymity, whereby the site will not know the user’s identity and the person who issues the certificate for said verification will also not know what it will be used fordetails Europe Press.

This test has porn sites in mind, because of minors’ access to content that is inappropriate for their ageor whether they are even banned, as this is one of the main digital acts of violence that concerns society, said Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate in charge of Digital, in an appearance before the National Assembly.

However, this new age verification solution will not be limited to pornographic pagesbut in the future its implementation is expected in any service or digital platform that requires proof of legal age.
