Nokia introduced the G22 phone, designed for self-repair
HMD Global, which owns the rights to the Nokia phone brand, has introduced a smartphone designer. This is reported by The Guardian newspaper, citing company materials.
The device was released before the MWC exhibition, which will be held in Barcelona. The G22 has a modular design designed for easy home repair. Created in collaboration with iFixit, the gadget comes with tools for self-repair in the event of a breakdown.
According to the manufacturer, the Nokia G22 received a quick-release back panel and a simplified internal design. The company said that the user can remove the back cover and access all the components of the device – the battery, screen, charging port.
“People value durable, quality devices, and they don’t have to compromise on price to get them,” said Adam Ferguson, Head of Product Marketing at HMD Global. Nokia noted that the new smartphone has a 6.53-inch display, a 50-megapixel camera, a fingerprint scanner, and a three-year Android update guarantee. The cost of Nokia G22 will be 150 pounds, or about 14 thousand rubles.
Earlier, the Finnish corporation Nokia introduced a new logo. Now the company’s distinctive sign consists of five different shapes that form the word Nokia.
