Realme GT Neo 5 Gets 240W Charging Support

The Chinese company Realme has introduced a phone with 240-watt charging support. This is reported by the publication PhoneArena.

The announced Realme GT Neo 5 stands out from other phones with up to 240W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, this is the first such smartphone on the market. It is noted that in 80 seconds the device can be charged by 20 percent, and in 4 minutes – by 50 percent. A full charge takes about 10 minutes.

The record-breaking smartphone also received the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 16 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory. The device has a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772×1240 pixels and a frequency of 144 hertz. GT Neo 5 came out with a main camera with 50, 8 and 2 megapixel lenses. On the back of the flagship is an LED indicator for notifications.

The device has a battery with a capacity of 4500 milliamp-hours. The company also introduced a simplified version of the smartphone, which received a 5000 milliamp-hour battery – in this case, fast charging power is limited to 150 watts.

The cost of the basic version of Realme GT Neo 5 with 240-watt charging support was 3199 yuan or about 35 thousand rubles. The device will only be available in China.

In May 2022, manufacturers of accessories for smartphones and computers introduced the first USB-C 2.1 cables. The new standard differs from the earlier ones in that it allows energy to be transmitted with a record power of 240 watts.
